Life is Beautiful Movie Review

One thing I really liked about the movie was Guido. I love how he did everything he could to try and impress the love of his life. I thought he was a really good guy, who didn’t deserve to die. All he wanted to do was to protect his family and get out of the camp to live a happy life like he did before. One thing that really made me mad about the movie was when Guido was talking to the man and all he did was ask him about a stupid riddle. I thought he was going to try and help him escape or something. All he did was be a selfish jerk. I thought he really cared. I was really hoping Guido would not get killed but of course he had to. Stupid Nazis. I think the movie did leave out some stuff, like the gas chambers. I think it would’ve been pretty cool if the movie filmed one of those just to see exactly how it was. But I think it was a really good movie.

Danny lives in a wealthy white neighborhood with his mom and sister. He is biracial, his mother is white and his dad is Mexican. Throughout the book Danny always thinks to himself if he belongs in white society or Mexican society? Danny goes to visit his dads side of the family in National City, over the summer. While there he goes through many problems such as fights, identity crisis, girl problems and so on. But man good things do happen to him with baseball. He loves to play baseball. You’re gonna have to read go find out what happens. Danny is a very skinny, skater dressing, shy, emo (ish), and a very great baseball player. Achieve. I chose this word for very specific reasons. One of them is for baseball, the other is for school and the third is for working out. Let’s start with baseball. In my baseball program there are a lot of kids trying to impress coaches so they can be on the top team. I made the top team last year but that doesn’t necessarily mean I’m going to make I again. There are new kids this year, which means coaches are gonna looking at them to see if they got what it takes. That just tells me I better work my butt off to make sure I’m the one getting the attention. There is only so much time to show coaches what you got and what you can do. With the 36 kids that are also in the 14u group, I have to make sure I do my best. I have give practice my everything so I can achieve the goal of making the #1 team. My goal to achieve for school is making sure I get good grades this year because I am planning on going to St. Laurence High School. This is a very good school and they aren’t going to

12/14/17 The book I was reading was called, “I will save you.” This book was written by the author Matt De La Pena. The genre of this book is Realistic Fiction. This book is about a kid named “Kidd Ellison,” h im and his mother got abused by his father... a lot. One day his mom was done dealing with all the bs that they put up with and shot Kidd's father three times, after she shot herself in the head. Kidd was them put into a group home called Horizons and was given therapy. Kidd later ran way from the group home and ended up working in a campsite with his boss Mr.Red. Kids therapy was not fully completed so throughout the book there are many problems because of that. He met a girl named Olivia and she was like t he is the girl of his dreams. She always wears a ski cap and nobody ever knew why. This didn’t change Kidd’s opinion on how beautiful he thought she was. Kidd and Olivia are quite opposite but also very similar. Olivia is very rich and smart while Kidd is very poor
Making connections - The Outsiders vs “What love isn’t”

“What love isn’t,” is such a great and very accurate poem. It explains love very well and compares to the book The Outsiders very well. They both have a lot in common. Life does not always go well, there are many troubling parts to it but we always push through it no matter what. In the poem What love isn’t there is this short excerpt that says, “It is now and till the end. It is never a slither, never a little it is a full serving it is much too much and real never pretty or clean.” This relates to my connection to the outsiders because this quote means that love is now to the end and you never give up, it's a lot to handle. Just like the Greasers. They stick together no matter what. Sometimes they might have big problems but they never give up on trying to deal with them,. Yeah it’s hard but they’re brothers. What love isn’t also has this quote, it is weight and it is too heavy to feel good sometimes. It is discomfort — it is not what the films say.” This quote connects to t
